Rotary is a place where people of action come together to make a difference in our local community and our world.
The heart of Rotary is our members, dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.
The Rotary eClub of the Willamette Valley has members and regular visitors living around the globe, with the majority living in the mid-Willamette Valley. We have a special relationship with the Rotary eClub of Southern Scotland and several members regularly attend both meetings as well as join each others’ meetings for several special events throughout the year.
Rotarians use their passion and energy to take action on vital projects, both locally and globally. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world.
Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues. Tens of thousands of clubs around the world work together to:
Promote peace
Fight disease
Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
Save mothers and children
Support education
Grow local economies
Protect the environment

Rotary started with the vision of one man — Paul Harris. The Chicago attorney formed the Rotary Club of Chicago on February 23, 1905, so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships.
Over time, Rotary’s reach and vision gradually extended to humanitarian service. Our members now span the globe, working to solve some of our world’s most challenging problems.
South Salem Rotary Foundation
The South Salem Rotary (SSR) Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, run by a volunteer board of directors, who also are on the Rotary eClub of the Willamette Valley board of directors.
Donations to the SSR Foundation may be tax-deductible and are used to benefit projects in the mid-Willamette Valley, primarily for youth and those at risk.

While Rotary clubs are grounded in the same values, no two are the same, because each community has its own unique needs.
We are an open club and invite non-Rotarians and those who are curious about Rotary to drop in and attend any of our online meetings Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00pm PST on Zoom.
Rotary members share ideas, make plans, hear interesting educational programs, and catch up with friends during weekly club meetings. There is no attendance requirement, and you can participate according to your schedule.
Being part of a Rotary club gives you the chance to develop new skills or use your expertise to benefit others and the community. You’ll meet interesting people from your community and around the world. And you’ll tackle local and international issues that are important to you and your fellow club members.
We can accomplish more good when more passionate community members join us. We hope you’ll consider making a difference by learning more about Rotary and making a visit.
